Music Video Featuring Snoop Dogg and Eminem Includes Bored Ape Avatars

Eminem and Snoop Dogg are in the news for their new music video that features animated versions of their BAYC (Bored Ape Yacht Club) avatars

More About the Song

Titled “From The D 2 The LBC”, the song is already a massive hit and has been trending on YouTube in a number of countries. It has more than 24 million views and over 1.4 million likes. The video has so far generated over 77,000 comments and it continues to do well on the charts.

The opening shot is very impressive and shows Eminem getting ready to record a take.

“Yo, why’s it so smoky in here man?!” he goes, talking to Dogg, who is shown to be sitting in a different room smoking a blunt.

The comment section is on fire and even some big names are commenting under the music video.

“It’s great to see these two legends squash their beef and now make drop some joints together for us,” commented DJ Skandalous.

“Eminem & Snoop never disappoint 🔥Still dropping bangers after 20-plus years in the game. Hats off to the both of them 🎩 ,” wrote another fan. However, critics do not seem to be a fan of the endeavor.

Verge didn’t write an overly positive review. It said:

“Snoop Dogg and Eminem’s Bored Ape music video is here to try and sell us on tokens.”

What’s The NFT Connection?

Both Eminem and Snoop Dogg are NFT lovers. Dogg has worked with a number of NFT and blockchain-related companies and was in the news for joining hands with Clay Nation to launch an NFT collection. Similarly, Eminem has also gone big on NFT. He recently spent around $462,000 to buy an NFT ape from the Bored Ape Yacht Club through OpenSea. Hence, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the music video highlights the BAYC collection.

Both rappers are heavily invested in BAYC. Snoop Dogg is rumored to own BAYC 6,723 and Eminem owns BAYC 9,055. Each rapped spent over $100,000 per NFT.

Both Eminem and Snoop have animated their BAYC avatars for the music video that was shown at the super successful Apefest event. The event was attended by some very big names including Lil Wayne, The Roots, Lil Baby, and Haim. Will the video win MTV’s Music Video awards?

More About the Market

The crypto market is down and Apecoin has fallen about 82 percent from ATH, however, BAYC NFTs still appear to be doing well. But, BAYC isn’t without controversies. It was recently in the news for a lawsuit the company filed against Ryder Ripps and associates.

BAYC NFTs are expensive with the cheapest option costing over $100,000. No BAYC NFTs are available under this price despite the MAYC’s floor value being 17.57 ETH.

However, more companies continue to enter the space with Kia recently using Dead Army Skeleton NFTs in a new ad.
