Snoop Dogg To Open Bored Ape NFT-Themed Dessert Restaurant

Snoop Dogg, the legendary musician, has announced the opening of a Bored Ape-themed dessert café, similar to Bored and Hungry.

Dr Bombay’s Sweet Exploration will be the name of the eatery. It will be situated in Los Angeles and run in collaboration with Food Fighters Universe, a company founded by Andy Nguyen, Kevin Seo, and Phillip Huynh.

It was touted as an “immersive retail dessert experience” in the announcement. Snoop Dogg’s Bored Ape Yacht Club avatar is named Dr Bombay.

Although the restaurant is not an official Yuga Lab location, Yuga Labs NFT holders have the exclusive right to use their assets for commercial reasons. As a result, Snoop Dogg can employ his Bored Ape NFT in this fashion.

Cordell Broadus, Snoop Dogg’s son, is also involved in the restaurant venture. “Food Fighters Universe is linking food with Web3 and paving a road with real-life utility for NFTs,” he said in a press release about the eatery. It’s the restaurant industry’s future, and my father and I are excited to join the team and use their expertise to bring Dr Bombay to life.”

This isn’t the first restaurant with a Bored Apes motif. Bored and Hungry already does something similar with its restaurant, which features BAYC and MAYC logo and decor.

On the other hand, Food Fighters want to take things a step further by releasing an NFT collection that will benefit its clients.

Snoop Dogg and NFTs

Snoop Dogg’s participation with NFTs has progressed yet again. The rapper is one of the most well-known figures in the NFT industry. He has worked with the Clay Nation and The Sandbox, in addition, to owning a Bored Ape.

He also released NFTs inspired by the Nyan cat meme. Last year, the rapper also revealed that he is Cozomo de’ Medici, a pseudonymous NFT collector on Twitter with millions of dollars in assets.

Furthermore, he recently bought Death Row Records with the intention of making the first NFT record label.

To top it off, he recently released his latest album, BODR on Gala music as part of his takeover of Death Row Records.

Afterthoughts

As stated before on this website, we love the influence that Snoop Dogg is having on the NFT industry. May he long continue.
