The first edition of Metaverse Fashion week is here, and everyone in the fashion and Web3 worlds cannot wait to enjoy the experience. You’ll find Web3 enthusiasts who do not care about fashion, paying close attention and following the latest happenings during this event. From the 24th to the 27th of March 2022, Decentraland will bring together enthusiasts from the Metaverse and the fashion industry. For members of both groups, it’ll be the first time experiencing what it feels like in the other group’s space.
Over the four-day fashion extravaganza, Decentraland will showcase a myriad of runway shows, pop-up shops, after parties, and fashion brands showcasing digital fashion pieces on walking “avatars” during the virtual catwalks.

Tommy Hilfiger to go all out during Metaverse Fashion Week
Tommy Hilfiger is a world-renowned fashion brand, and on Monday 22 March 2022, the company officially confirmed its participation in the forthcoming Metaverse Fashion Week. Moreover, they have exciting plans for the fashion festival.
In February, Decentraland announced the Metaverse Fashion Week. During the announcement, it shared that brands including Jacob & Co, Dolce & Gabbana, Selfridges, The Fabricant and more will participate during its inaugural fashion week.
Decentraland also noted that Tommy Hilfiger will take part in the fashion week. Still, it wasn’t until 21 March 2022 that the American fashion brand shared that it will join the Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week. A statement by the company stated that “Metaverse Fashion Week represents the brand’s focus on digital innovation ad exploring new consumer channels.”
Tommy Hilfiger: Future Web3 powerhouse?
From the look of things, it seems like participation at the Metaverse Fashion Week is the first step in an exciting Web3 strategy for Tommy Hilfiger. The fashion brand also shared that it is now in partnership with Boston Portal, a marketplace offering a “virtual lifestyle and cultural playground located in Decentraland.”
Soon, a Tommy Hilfiger store will be located within Boston Portal in Decentraland. Items purchased at the Tommy Hilfiger store will be purchased as NFTs, and after purchase, holders can redeem their NFTs for corresponding “physical products delivered straight to the customer’s door.”
