ONE Championship Partners with Animoca Brands to Launch ONE Fight Arena

ONE Championship, the world’s largest martial arts organization, has teamed up with Animoca Brands and its subsidiary, Notre Game, to launch ONE Fight Arena, a mobile game that will be powered by NFTs. This game will feature ONE’s roster of world-class martial artists and their vast IP library, offering players a unique and immersive gaming experience.

Features of ONE Fight Arena

ONE Fight Arena promises to offer strategic gameplay to gamers, allowing them to select from a wide range of ONE athletes, including the likes of Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson and Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon, to develop their character from the start of their career. Furthermore, the game will have an immersive first-person point of view, enabling players to experience the world of martial arts in a unique way.

Digital Ownership via NFTs

ONE Fight Arena will provide optional Web3 integration that uses blockchain technology and NFTs to enable gamers to have actual digital ownership of specific game assets, including ONE athletes as they appear in the game. NFTs are digital assets that have certain properties typically associated with physical items, such as scarcity, authenticity, provenance, ownership, and others, which are independently verified and secured on the blockchain. Players who opt-out of the Web3 layer will still be able to play ONE Fight Arena as a conventional free-to-play mobile game without actual ownership of their ONE digital assets.

Development of ONE Fight Arena

Notre Game, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands, is developing ONE Fight Arena. Jiri Mikolas, CEO of Notre Game, stated that they are excited to be part of this partnership, adding that Notre Game’s values align well with the vision of this collaboration, which involves developing innovative and daring projects with a strong emphasis on quality. He concluded that they are eager to work with ONE and Animoca Brands to make this project a reality, reach gamers worldwide, and break the boundaries of mobile gaming.

Availability of ONE Fight Arena

ONE Fight Arena will start player testing in Q4 2023 and will be fully released in Q1 2024 as a free-to-play mobile game available on both Google Play and Apple’s App Store. The game will be accessible worldwide, giving players an immersive and engaging experience.

NFTs are digital assets and collectibles that possess some characteristics normally associated with physical items, including authenticity, scarcity, ownership, provenance, and other properties that are independently guaranteed, verified, and secured on blockchain. In ONE Fight Arena, NFTs will be used to enable players to have true digital ownership for certain game assets, including ONE athletes as they appear in the game.

Unlike traditional sports games, ONE Fight Arena will focus more on strategic gameplay than just the action inside the Circle.
