Game Space debuts Player One Tournament Season 2 featuring AAA Web3 Games The Lost Land, Oath of Peak and Bless Global

Game Space successfully held its first Player One Tournament in February with over 20K+ participants, generated 200K+ Twitter engagements, and increased over 41 K+ combined Twitter user growth for gaming partners. With the success of the first tournament, Game Space is excited to announce the debut of Player One Tournament Season 2 featuring AAA Web3 Games The Lost Land, Oath of Peak and Bless Global. For this tournament, Game Space has established strategic partnerships with over 50 partners, including KCC Chain, Quest3 a do-to-earn platform, Bybit Exchange, Web3 decentralized social network protocol Link3 and CyberConnect, leading DAOs and Gaming Guilds. Tencent Cloud International as one of the main sponsors of the tournament provided up to $30,000 worth of Cloud Credits for the gaming partners and will continue to invest in each tournament in the future to support the GameFi industry.

Gaming has been considered one of the core narratives in Web3, with gathering more Web2 traffic, ownership of gaming assets, and verifiable data on-chain, etc. that have thrived the development of the GameFi space. Looking at the data from DappRadar, in 2022 there were over 800,000 active unique wallet addresses during peak periods, and GameFi market size is expected to reach $38 billion in 2028, showing that it is a highly promising space in the eyes of some OG gamers, Gamefi enthusiasts, and investors.

Michael Cameron, CEO of Game Space said “GameFi  has always shown strong potential and great resilience despite the bias the bear market has brought. Game Space has been diving deep in the GameFi space since its establishment by providing GaaS as a service with an embedded SDK for traditional AAA Games. With our dedication, Game Space has also become a credible GameFi platform with a unique broad base of Web3 users, and we will continue to push boundaries to bring  more Web2 gamers into Web3 and reward with the best for gamers as a return for their time and investment into the games.”

2022 was a difficult year for everyone with the Crypto Winter impacting many projects in the Web3 space. However, the bear market is not all bad news. It has eliminated many malicious threats actors and rug-pulls in which has added more legitimacy to the space. This has pushed more excitement for the GameFi space and is also the reason behind the attraction for quality games to be a part of the Player One tournament. This time, Oath of Peak by Yeeha Games, a $50 million-funded GameFi platform, The Lost Land is the first tower defense strategy GameFi independently developed by Monster Labs, and Bless Global, the world’s first triple-A GameFi massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Tigon Mobile showed high interest to create a buzz in the GameFi Space and recover the enthusiasm for true gamers.

Moreover, according to official releases, Bless Global by Tigon Mobile, a subsidiary of Longtu Korea has launched the game using Game Space SDK. PocketBuff, a collaboration effort between Tigon Mobile and Game Space is the platform to support Bless Global’s NFT transactions in order to provide a seamless Web3 experience to game users.

The Player One Tournament Season 2  gathered a total of $15,000 worth of prize pool. During the 12-day tournament, there will be 3 days dedicated to each gaming partner. Game Space has also invited influential Twitch streamers Polka Starter and Thomas Pearson to play in order to increase the excitement for the competition. In the final 3 days, Game Space will provide a 500 USDT prize pool to 100 lucky participants who finish all the tasks on Quest 3.

Game Space will continue to cooperate with partners of interest and to hold Web3 gaming tournaments to attract attention to various GameFi projects and expand the base of Web3 gamers, so as to better promote the development of the entire GameFi space and the Web3 ecosystem.
