Blockchain Comics have announced the arrival of Satoshi Master of Disguise (SMoD) on the carbon neutral Immutable X (IMX) blockchain.
The journey begins with a limited presale launch on the IMX Marketplace on Thursday July 14th 2022. Holders can gain early access to a SMoD NFT and be a member of the founding SMoD community.
Following the presale, the minting of 10,000 SMoD NFTs will mark the first phase of Decentralized Publishing – a new era in the history of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Harnessing the power of IMX, Blockchain Comics will unleash Decentralized Publishing via the Blockchain Comics Portal.
Decentralized Publishing is an unprecedented utility, which places the distribution power back into the hands of NFT holders.
Through the Blockchain Comics Portal, creators can mint, publish and distribute their own, unique comic series.
Satoshi, the original hero of the blockchain, will kick start this epic comic book series.
Co-founder and Creative Developer ‘PaulPaul’ said: “We started with the idea of a comic book being created on the blockchain, which could be a parody of the invention of blockchain technology. We soon realized that to do this justice, we would need to innovate technology to create a distribution system that could only exist in the NFT space.”
Furthermore, Blockchain Comics will utilize their new rarity algorithm to integrate multi-layer minting technology.
Essentially, multi-layer minting enables 5 levels of rarity to combine with six different features, allowing for over 15,000 possible combinations.
Regarding SMoD NFTs, the five levels of rarity will be: Undercover, Mysterious, Incognito, Nameless and Ghost. These levels of rarity will combine with six SMoD features: Sky, Location, Head, Body, Mouth, Eyes.
Utilizing multi-layer minting, Blockchain Comics are able to maximize the utility and scalability of SMoD NFTs.
As a result, SMoD NFT holders can dictate the scarcity of their comic book series. As more characters are introduced, incredibly rare comic books can be spawned as the rarity algorithm works its magic.
Indeed, each comic book will change according to the comic’s rarity. As the series progresses and new characters emerge, new variations of the comic will manifest in elements like the artwork and dialogue. The more NFTs owned, the more sophisticated the holder’s bespoke comic book series becomes.
Hence, Satoshi will be the founding hero and poster boy for the Blockchain Comics Portal, but he is still trying to evade the clutches of the centralized powers!
