Hot Wheels set to release second NFT project

In November 2021, Hot Wheels released its NFT Garage Series 1, and after achieving success, it is ready to unveil the second installment of the Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series.

Hot Wheels: Integral Childhood Experience

For over five decades, Hot Wheels has been an integral part of many people’s childhoods, and in more ways than one, hot wheels are a part of our culture as Millennials and Gen-Z. Odds are you’ve owned or interacted with at least one hot wheel toy in the past.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, companies and brands Worldwide have identified NFTs and Web3 as an avenue for revenue generation and customer engagement, and Hot Wheels is no exception.

In November 2021, Hot Wheels launched its NFT Garage Collectibles with a starting price of only $15 per pack. The collection offered 40 designs, including some of the most iconic Hot Wheels ever created. These iconic vehicles were replicated on digital trading cards and modeled after nostalgic Hot Wheels packaging.

The original NFT Garage Series collection was made available in basic four-card and premium ten-card packs featuring a healthy range of rarities, including Base, Rare, Premium, and Treasure Hunt (NFTH). One thing that stood out with the original collection is that the team behind the project went out of their way to make the collection more accessible for collectors and fans. The first project featured 5,000 rare cards that could be redeemable for special-edition, real-life Hot Wheels vehicles.

Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2

For the first installment of its NFT project, Hot Wheels partnered with Worldwide Asset exchange (WAX). After a successful first installment, both companies are back together, working towards launching the second Hot Wheels NFTs series. Therefore to buy Hot the NFTs you will need a credit card and a WAX wallet as the NFTs are on the WAX blockchain.

The Hot Wheels NFT garage Series 2 will feature ten licensed vehicle models within the available mini-collections. The vehicles are spread across Hot Wheels Flames, Hot Wheels Car Meet, Rod Squad, and Nightburnerz.

Hot Wheels returns’ will deliver their second NFT installment in partnership with General Motors and Honda. In this collection, we can expect vehicles from GM, including the 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser, 1967 Oldsmobile 442, Corvette C8 R, 1971 Buick Riviera, and the 1991 GMC Syclone.

For Honda vehicles, you can expect and enjoy the Honda S2000, Custom 2001 Acura Integra GSR, 1990 Acura NSX, and the scintillating Honda Civic Type R.

You can make an NFT pack purchase of the new series for $25 with 26,321 Packs available. Each pack contains 7 Hot Wheels NFTs and there is a limit of 4 packs per person. Moreover, there are 5 rarities to be had in the new NFT garage series, with the Showroom NFT added.

The Future

The company have come a long way in its NFT journey, and the second installment of the Hot Wheels NFT Garage series already shows signs of being more extensive and more encompassing than the original launch. As time goes on, it’ll only get larger and more exciting as their partnership with Worldwide Asset Exchange matures.

With the Hot Wheels NFT Garage Series 2, holders lucky enough to access one of the following rare vehicles 1955 Chevy Bel Air Gasser, Custom Otto, Corvette C8 R, and the Custom Otto, can access physical representations of their NFTs.
