Justin Bieber overpays for Bored Ape #3001

A few days ago, Grammy Award-winning artist Justin Bieber added to his Bored Ape Yacht Club collection. However, in true Justin Bieber style, things didn’t pan out as one would have imagined.

For those who are unfamiliar with the NFT craze, Bored Apes are the pinnacle of NFT collections and boasts all-star owners such as Eminem, Steve Aoki, and Jimmy Fallon to mention a few.

What made Justin’s purchase memorable was the fact he paid significantly more than the listed price for his newest Ape.

Bored Ape #3001 was originally listed for sale at 104 Ethereum ($208,230). However, not one for bargain hunting, Justin decided to snap it up for a cool 500 Ethereum ($1.39M). This equates to 5x the asking price.

Justin was quick to take to social media to show off his purchase ““What if you had it all, but nobody to call, maybe then you’d know me. Cuz I’ve had everything but noones listening and that’s just (expletive) lonely.”

Finally, a quick scan of Justin’s Ethereum wallet reveals he still has another 318 Ethereum to play with. So what NFT will he overpay for next?
