DoodlesTV Super Pass Launches on Base Network

Doodles has announced their Super Pass for DoodlesTV is now live for minting on Coinbase’s Base—an Ethereum layer-2 scaling network. This is another step towards Doodles’ evolution from a collection of NFTs to a wide-ranging Web3 entertainment company.

Welcome to DoodlesTV—the latest entrant in The Stoodio at the Doodles site—using Web3 technology for a complete reimagining of how fans and artists get to interact with what they call a “Next-gen, direct-to-community media platform that bridges the gap between Doodles, its collaborators, and their communities.”

First off, Super Pass holders can now get direct access to exclusive drops, premieres, and limited-edition collectibles.

Furthermore, fans are able to directly chat with their favorite artists, replay content whenever they wish, and be part of community-focused premieres.

Doodles Records

Doodles rose to fame in the recent NFT craze with its series of profile picture (PFP) NFTs featuring cartoon characters with different attributes. However, the recent NFT market decline pushed Doodles to expand to other avenues. The business is now transitioning to being a digital entertainment firm with a focus on animation and branded content.

With DoodlesTV, Doodles is further launching a record label, Doodles Records. In partnership with The Orchard from Sony Music for distribution, the first release under this label will be an EP featuring Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, and Swae Lee. This fall coincides with an impending short film premiere, “Dullsville and the Doodleverse,” slated for release this September.

Last year, co-founder Jordan Castro told followers that “Doodles isn’t an NFT project“. At the time, he stated, “We’re trying to go from a startup to a leading media franchise. We are no longer an ‘NFT project’. The more time/money/resources we invest in following the latest ‘build in public’ trends that fuel speculation, the less we have to achieve our long-term vision.”

The recent shift for Doodles serves as yet another example of this ‘long-term vision’ to push Web3 forward, where the ability to deliver new, fun moments to its audience is paramount.
