Spells of Genesis (SoG) has announced its new ‘Askian Door’ social hub in The Sandbox metaverse.
The official opening of Spells of Genesis – Askian Door takes place on September 30th, where players will be able to come face-to-face with their favourite in-game characters.
In the social hub, some of the most iconic characters from SoG are brought to life and can be interacted with.
In addition, users can collect hidden Satoshi Blocks spread across the SoG metaverse and explore spots of interest, all of which have strong ties to the game.
The Sandbox is a 3D metaverse, which allows players to create and customize their games and digital assets with free design tools. It is growing and recently announced that BlockchainSpace will be bringing its 650,000 players to its Metaverse.
The virtual goods created can then be monetized as NFTs and sold for SAND tokens on The Sandbox Marketplace.
The return of SOG NFTs
In the second announcement made by SoG, the Spells of Genesis NFT collection will return to The Sandbox Marketplace, with 10 new NFTs being added to the collection.
Moreover, those who participated in the previous NFT drop, or will participate in the forthcoming drop, will have the chance to win a ‘The SandBox Season 3 Alpha Pass’.
These passes are designed by The Sandbox and unlock rewards up to 500 $SAND for the holders who accomplish quests within the Alpha Season 3.
Furthermore, EverdreamSoft, creators of the SoG universe, will give away three such passes via their official Twitter account.

Additional benefits for NFT holders
If that wasn’t enough, the SoG team revealed that every NFT owner from the collection on The Sandbox Marketplace will gain exclusive access to all future Spells of Genesis experiences within The Sandbox.
The Sandbox Alpha Season 3 is an event that runs for 10 weeks and spans over 90 different experiences.
There are a total of 10,000 Alpha Passes available, with up to 500 $SAND and other guaranteed rewards for Season 3 Alpha pass holders.
Currently, EverdreamSoft owns an Estate of 6×6 land plots in The Sandbox.
Its Spells of Genesis – Askian Door social hub resides on one of the plots, with more experiences to occur across the Estate in the coming months and years.

Back in February, community members in The Sandbox, who owned Land around the EverdreamSoft estate, were rewarded with 3 premium NFTs including the Spells of Genesis Bearwhale.
Also in April, the EverdreamSoft team dropped an SoG NFT collection in collaboration with Nabiya studio.

Spells of Genesis, pre-launched in 2015, was the first blockchain-based mobile game ever made.
