Kylian Mbappé: New Brand Ambassador and Investor at Sorare

That’s right, the French soccer superstar has decided to partner with Sorare, a fantasy football NFT game. Through this partnership, he will become an ambassador and investor in the project.

Kylian Mbappé is considered one of the world’s elite football players and plies his trade for both the French national team and Paris Saint-Germain. Like Cristiano Ronaldo and other leading sports stars, Mbappé is diving into the NFT space.

Positive Response to the Global Ambassador Announcement

The announcement was greeted positively by both Mbappé’s global fan base and the Sorare community.

Furthermore, Mbappé’s role as an investor and ambassador for Sorare will also bring long-term benefits to his charitable work and lead to increased recognition of NFTs amongst the sporting community.

High Trading Volume and Sales of Sorare

Recently, Sorare NFT’s secondary sales have increased by an impressive 800%. And signing a world-renowned talent like Mbappé as the ambassador will further boost the secondary sales of the NFT game and garner the attention of more people.

Data highlights that Sorare NFTs continue to perform impressively in the bear market. Last week, Sorare managed to set a new sales record by pulling in over $10 million. This value is close to Bored Ape Yacht Club’s $12 million in sales.

What Makes Sorare Unique?

As far as the game goes, Sorare adopts a unique approach to utilize NFTs as playing cards in their Play to Earn fantasy football league.

Sorare users can buy, sell, and trade real-life cards of players from over 250 different professional football teams around the world. To start playing, you need to purchase at least five player cards to make your team. After purchasing your NFTs, you enter a league system and use cards to build dedicated lineups and earn points based on the real-world performance of the players.

Your team’s accumulated points are added up and will affect your team’s league position. Each week players can earn rewards in Ethereum that they can either cash in or use to invest in their team.

Market Value of Sorare NFT Game

Currently, the game has over 2 million registered users who have brought in over $350 million in NFT trading sales on the secondary market. Additionally, in September 2021, Sorare raised $680 million in Series B funding, bringing the company valuation to $4.3 billion.

Sorare Partnerships Growing

Sorare partnerships continue to grow with more soccer teams and leagues joining the platform. Furthermore, they recently announced a significant deal with the MLB.

The successful partnership of Sorare with MLB players made it easier to launch the NFT game on a bigger scale. Sorare MLB game will exclusively focus on 30 clubs in the league and look to establish a firm presence in the US.

It is no wonder some of the biggest names involved in the Sorare include soccer legend Gerard Piqué and US tennis player Serene Williams as investors. With the Kylian Mbappe announcement, Sorare adds yet another high-profile sports personality to their stable of investors.

Afterthoughts

The capture of Kylian Mbappe as a Sorare investor and brand ambassador is exciting news and can only lead to a wave of new users amongst Mbappe’s ever-growing fanbase. In fact, the deal may already be having a positive impact if Sorare’s recent secondary market sales are anything to go by. Kylian is also featured in the PSG NFT collection for their tour of Japan.
