Doodles: Big-time NFT player?
Doodles are a collection of 10,000 NFTs, and Doodles are made up of a plethora of exciting visual traits, all designed by Burnt Toast. Doodles also include hand-drawn characters such as mascots, apes, aliens, cats, and skellys.
The Doodles collection includes a myriad of costumes, rare heads, and colorways of the artist’s choosing. Moreover, owning a Doodle allows you to have a say and vote on community-driven events, products, and features.
Doodle has a financial tool called the Doodlebank, a community treasury with about $5 million, and this money is there to fund community experiences in line with the founder’s and Doodle holder’s visions.
As the Doodles universe expands, it’s only natural for the management team to expand and get better. In February 2022, the world got introduced to Space Doodles, and every Doodle holder could claim their Space Doodles after its launch earlier in the year.
Space Doodles are a special modification for Doodles, equipping Doodles with the tools they’ll need to explore the stars and the universe. According to the Doodles website, “Space Doodles is your first venture into the galaxy to discover joy and rainbow puke.”
Doodles new CEO
Julian Holguin was recently appointed as Doodles’ new CEO, and this executive is joining the team with a wealth of experience. With a floor price of 21.5 ETH or $57892.19 at the time of writing this piece, Doodles is at a critical point in its growth story where the company needs to pivot and head into the future.
You might be wondering who Julian Holguin is; Houlgin joined Billboard in 2012 as the company’s Vice President of Brand Partnerships; he later held the role of head of sales and partnerships for MRC Entertainment.
In January 2021, Holguin was promoted to the position of Billboard’s president, a role he held until recently. Prior to Holguin’s time at Billboard, he spent time working for global brands such as NBC, BBC, and New York Daily News.
Doodles shared the following on its official Twitter account, “Julian will work alongside the founders of expand Doodles IP through music, gaming, and entertainment, while deeply integrating culture into the product.” The tweets further read, “In the coming weeks, we will introduce you to the next phase of Doodles — Groundbreaking projects, transformative partnerships, and a full reveal of our vision & roadmap.”
Doodle’s appointment of Holguin marks a new beginning for the NFT company as it prepares to enter the future.
