Aston Martin Aramco cognizant Formula one team have teamed up with global partners Crypto.com for an Aston Martin NFT drop. This is to go alongside the unveiling of their new car for the 2022 Formula 1 Grand Prix championship, the AMR22.
Fans of the F1 team, which reentered the F1 circuit in the 2021 season, after the rebranding of the F1 team, Racing Point, will be given the opportunity to buy digitally rendered parts of this season’s car.
Canadian billionaire, Lawrence Stroll owns the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One™ Team (AMF1). Additionally, the drivers for the current season are 4 times World Champions, Sebastian Vittel and Lance Stroll, who has driven for both Williams and Racing Point.
Aston Martin NFTs showcase engineering
The 2022 season sees the biggest shake-up of technical rules in Formula 1 history. The rule changes have led to greater challenges for aerodynamicists and engineers. This has led to added pressure in getting ready for the start of the new season, in March 2022.
These new rules were the spark behind the new NFT drop from AMF1 Team. Fans can collect a set of 4 NFTs. Each NFT corresponds to one of the essential cogs in the racing car. These are both the front and rear wings, the steering wheel, and the halo (the Crash Protection System). Each collectible was designed with the help of the design team at AMF1.
Unique 3-tiered NFT drop
The Aston Martin NFT drop consists of 3 tiers which increase in rarity and open more exclusive rewards at higher price levels. The tiers are Accelerate, Slipstream and Velocity. What’s more, those that accumulate all four NFTs will further be given the option of buying the special-edition, full AMR22 model NFT.
This year’s Aston Martin NFT drop comes after the roaring success of last season’s stack of NFTs. This saw the collection become one of Crypto.com’s best-selling collections, with over $2 million in sales. We are sure there will be even more activity around this latest collection.
Moreover, as part of the partnership, crypto.com/NFTs will give the holders a special thank you in the way of an NFT collectible.
2 teams committed to sustainability
Both partners are fully embracing the race to future sustainability. Concerning AMF1 team, they are committed to using the latest advances in designs and technology to lessen their carbon print. Meanwhile, Crypto.com are initiating an approach across its whole business model that will make it a negative net carbon producer.
Speaking about the partnership, Rob Bloom, CMO of AVF1 team, stated.
“Our first NFT drop of the 2022 season builds on the foundations we established with Crypto.com NFT at the beginning of last year when we gave fans the chance to own the first new footage of an Aston Martin grand Prix car on-track for more than six decades. This year, we further embraced the concept, conceiving and building four unique and collectible assets that showcase the incredible design and engineering of the AMR22 car and its components, as well as an additional unlockable only available to fans who have purchased all four original pieces.
“Last year’s release remains one of Crypto.com NFT’s most successful NFT drops – and original owners of those NFTs will be gifted one of this year’s pieces as a special thank-you for their original support.
“We are really looking forward to the reception of this all-new collection.”
Whilst Joe Conyers III, Executive vice president and Global head of crypto.com, said.
“The growth of digital collectible market has grown considerably over the past year. We’re delighted to be collaborating with the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One™ Team on an even more ambitious set of NFTs ahead of the start of the 2022 Formula One season.
“With technology and engineering under the spotlight following the introduction of this year’s sweeping rule changes, we wanted to focus on the aerodynamic and engineering solutions that underpin this fascinating sport.
“The result is a series of impeccably rendered NFT assets that really bring to life the breadth and depth of the engineering know-how that has created the AMR22.
“After last year’s incredible chapter in the sport’s history, this NFT drop is a fantastic way to build hype and anticipation for another thrilling season.”
Afterthought
We covered the release of last year’s Aston Martin drop in a previous article and have interviewed the very knowledgeable Joe Conyers III in an interview. Keeping this in mind, there is no reason to believe that this year’s drop will be any less successful.
Actually, the Aston Martin Aramco cognizant Formula one should be a rip-roaring success.
