Hip Hop giant Death Row records releases curated NFT drop on Crypto.com NFT

New York, NY (November 22, 2021) Death Row Records has collaborated with Crypto.com NFT for a curated NFT collection in celebration of the iconic label’s 30th anniversary this year. The seven exclusive NFTs are available tomorrow on Crypto.com/NFTEach design is inspired by the groundbreaking 1993 album, Doggystyle, marking its original November 23 release with a double-vinyl reissue of the record out tomorrow.

Three of the NFTs were creatively driven by Flux88’s Partner and Creative Director, Kevin Briones. The NFT’s will include music from the Doggystyle featured on Bitcoin Inmate (“Murder Was The Case”), Ethereum Inmate (“Tha Shiznit“) and Crypto Coin (“Tha Shiznit“). Kevin brings over 20 years of industry experience in sports entertainment and live event presentation. His passion for illustration has earned him credits under Marvel and Upper Deck.

Four of the NFTs are an official collaboration with TillaVision featuring Lil Bitcoin including 10800 Gold Edition, 10800 Platinum Edition, The Boss Gold Edition and The Boss Platinum Edition designs. Each NFT includes an audiobed instrumental from “Gin N Juice,” featured on the Doggystyle albumIn March, TillaVision first made headlines as the world’s first artist to debut via NFT. Lil Bitcoin would later release several NFTs, including a 50-piece “Lil Bitcoins” drop that netted over $80k in initial sales and a high-profile collaboration with King of Manhattan.

Death Row Records, now owned by MNRK Music Group, was formed in 1991 and was a pioneer in changing the course of music. The hip-hop label once owned and operated by Dr Dre and Marion “Suge” Knight was instrumental in revolutionizing rap music that maintains relevance to this day. Death Row Records artists continue to remain as significant and influential as they did while making history in the 1990s.

The label stands as one the most successful stories in music history with 36.5m+ albums sold worldwide plus record-breaking, RIAA multi-platinum certified albums including 2Pac’s All Eyez on Me, Until the End of Time, Don Killuminati, Better Dayz, Doggstyle and The Doggfather. The Los Angeles label celebrated its 30th anniversary this year with the launch of ‘Death Row Experience’, a virtual retrospective exhibiting the story of the label’s rise and its legendary artists including 30 easter eggs, NFTs, rare collectibles and more.

Flux88
