We’re excited to announce a collaborative Nested NFT with SportsIcon, The Guild NFT, and Gigi Buffon!

Last month we collaborated with The Guild NFT on ‘Pandoras Box’; the first-of-its-kind Nested NFT collaboration that is the highest sale to date on Charged Particles. Pandoras Box is a Nested NFT loaded with interest-bearing aDAI, interest-bearing aWETH, CHARGE social tokens, and 14 unique NFTs from 14 artists all locked inside a single NFT through the technology of the Charged Particles protocol. Pandoras Box was quickly picked up by a collector for $115,000 USD; demonstrating the power of this cutting edge technology.

Crypto-artist collective, The Guild, continues to set itself apart in the the NFT Space

Now, we are excited to launch our second Nested NFT, in collaboration with The Guild NFT, SportsIcon, and Gigi Buffon!

This partnership came to fruition from our relationship with SportsIcon. SportsIcon creates iconic NFTs centred around the careers of the worlds greatest athletes, like Gigi Buffon, who many consider to be the greatest goalkeeper of all time. Through SportsIcons relationship with Buffon, and our relationship with The Guild NFT; we’re able to come together for the first of many amazing collaborations!

This July, we’ll be releasing a Gigi Buffon Nested NFT, which features 5 NFTs nested inside a single NFT. Each NFT will focus on the most amazing moments of Gigi Buffon’s career. We’re absolutely thrilled to be a part of this and are eager to unveil what we’ve been working on in the upcoming weeks — stayed tuned!

About Gigi Buffon

Gigi Buffon is widely regarded the greatest goalkeeper of all time. Buffon has won the Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year 12 times between 1999 and 2017; 3 of which have been consecutive — from 2015 to 2017. Buffon won the UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year in 2002–03 and 2016–17 seasons; Best European Goalkeeper in 2003, 2016, and 2017; Serie A Footballer of the Year in 2016–17 season; Best FIFA Goalkeeper in 2017 and Golden Foot in 2016. He is one of the top individuals named on FIFA 100 list by the Brazilian legend, Pele.

“There have been some very good goalkeepers in my era, but Buffon is there for consistency. Most of the goalkeepers have had times when their form has not been so good, but Buffon has been at such a high level for so long.”

— Ronaldinho on choosing Buffon as the goalkeeper in his all–time top XI.

“The best goalkeeper I have ever faced was Buffon. When I was at Juventus, it was already difficult to get past Cannavaro and Thuram in defence during training sessions. If I managed to get past them, then I would find Buffon, and it was almost impossible to beat him!”

— Zlatan Ibrahimović

About Charged Particles

Charged Particles is a protocol that allows users to deposit ERC-20 tokens(ANY tokens) into an NFT. A scarce NFT (e.g. Art, Collectible, Virtual Real Estate, In-Game Item, etc.) can now be transformed into a basket holding a number of other tokens. The Principal amount can be time-locked inside the NFT, and through integration with Aave’s aTokens, the programmable yield from these DeFi yield-generating assets is just a few clicks away.
