This was a particularly special and unique season for football clubs, players and most importantly, the fans.

A global pandemic resulted in empty stadiums, and a very congested and an unpredictable football season. But as always, fans stood by their clubs and continued to support their teams from their living rooms, online, and through Sorare.

We wanted to mark the end to this unique European 2020 season with something special. Eight of this year’s European champions are Sorare club partners. To celebrate their heroic efforts with the fans, we have created limited Champion Edition cards.

We invited members of our community to tell us what this title-winning season meant to them as fans. Discover the Champion Edition cards below and see what stories they had to share.

Lille #Zuraw_

1946. 1954. 2011. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟭. 10 years after the last win, Lille are back on top of the Ligue 1. Waking up on a raining Monday morning and still not realizing how much of an achievement it is. Most Lille fans haven’t slept all night and are here to celebrate with the players. What was just a dream all season finally came true. This is why we are fans, this is why we love football ; for those moments, for the game.

Sporting Lisbon #Sonhos_10A

I can definitely share more than a few experiences if you’d like and what waiting 19 years for this title means to me and be able to collect their Sorare historic squad at the same time is just unreal. This collection has more meaning than it seems. Since my dad took a pic of me when I was a baby and made me a member of Sporting (Sócio #4556 -dad was 1000) we followed the team everywhere they went. Together. Home or away. We waited, suffered and grinded together 19 years waiting for this moment, He passed away 6 months ago, so he didn’t get to celebrate with me. So in some way I’m starting this collection in his honor too. In his remembrance, That’s how much it means.

Ajax #Joeyvw14

For me, this is the year where Ajax showed the world they’re not just champions on the field. They’re also champions off the field, to their supporters and followers.

Inter Milan Luca — Manager of Koinsquare, cryptocommunity supporting the biggest Sorare community in Italy, Sorare Italia

After the “treble” in the 2010 we had hard years trying to rebuild a competitive team. Last year we were almost there, with an unlucky defeat in the Europa League Final, but I was optimistic about the fact that this would have been the right year. It was a very intense joy after all these years, I hope it will be the start point for a long run, although Inter is already looking for another coach. The “Pazza Inter” (Crazy Inter, as the fans call the team) is alive!

Atletico Madrid #JHC

As Atleti fan since I was born I can only say that what we have seen this season it’s what being Atleti supporter means: You will never win easily. Although with a few months left and 14–17 pts ahead of the rest of the league you know that you will suffer to the end because that’s what being an Atleti fan implies: to live every match like it is the last and therefore tasting the victory more than the rest. It’s been an incredible but also very very long season for us but we can’t be happier, to win a league in the last match losing at halftime it’s what defines how we are and what we like.

Zenit St Petersburg #Sapfear

In the spring, we held the first position in RPL and became champions for the third time in a row! This is a great achievement for my club and I am very happy that I can enjoy the most successful period in its history. This season there was no feeling of complete superiority over the other participants, but according to many statistical indicators, Zenit is confidently leading in the RPL. In the upcoming transfer window, Azmoun, the best player of this season in the Russian championship, as well as Driussi, are expected to leave. And if Sebastian is fully replaced by Andrey Mostovoy, then to replace Serdar Azmoun it will be necessary to buy a strong forward. I hope that next season will be more successful for club in European competition. Davai Zenit!

Bayern Munich Sorare Ambassador and SorareBuzz creator: #Dominik

This season was historical and emotional: 9th title in a row, Lewandowski breaking the top-scorer record of Gerd Müller from 1972 and several Bayern legends leaving the club.

Club Brugge #Genouwtje

Not being able to support your favorite team for an entire team given the circumstances does feel weird. No football friends, no drinking together, not being able to scream your team forwards.. Nevertheless, I’m very proud of our back to back title!

A big thank you to everyone who shared their stories. The champions have just landed, scout them in all their glory!
