Rewards-based mobile gaming platform, QUDO is primed for launch on Telos mainnet

To most Telosians out there, QUDO will be a well-known quantity. A proof-of-gameplay reward mechanism, QUDO has been running in alpha on the Telos testnet for over a year now – as they ensure everything is in working order for that all-important mainnet launch.

We are hyped to see QUDO primed and ready for a launch on the Telos mainnet, bringing with it 15 popular mobile-games and QUDO token rewards for players.

Why Telos?

Qudo is another fantastic example of how the construction and design of the Telos blockchain support ‘real world’ applications. QUDO opted to build its reward mechanism on Telos because of the network’s speed, super-low fees, and community support.

On another blockchain such as Ethereum, or Binance Smart Chain, where each transaction costs 10x or 100x more than they do on Telos, ground-breaking and innovative dApps such as QUDO simply cannot operate.

Whether it is QUDO or Qubicles, this is why more and more dApps are choosing to make Telos blockchain their home.

What is QUDO?

QUDO is a platform that hosts games, rewards players, and supports developers, all at the same time. It represents an exciting and ambitious concept – aiming to help developers (with no blockchain experience necessary) grow their audiences and improve their games. While at the same time rewarding players in cryptocurrency for their time, scores, and other achievements.

“At Qudo, we strongly believe that people shouldn’t have to understand blockchain technology to start experiencing its benefits, especially when it comes to gaming,” said João Abrantes, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Block Bastards, the company behind Qudo.

“With the help of Telos, we’ve made it easy for gamers to register on Qudo and create a wallet without any background knowledge of crypto. We’re converting everyday players and game developers into blockchain users with an easy-to-use, rewards-driven platform. We’ve noticed a significant growing interest in Qudo from both games and players, which reinforces our confidence that we’re going in the right direction.”

A thriving ecosystem for gaming with a lot of potential

As of last week, QUDO had signed up 10 new games to the platform; as of this week (and the time of writing), this number stands at 15!

More and more games are joining the platform by the week due to its innovative approach and ease of use. QUDO is compatible with any game using the Unity engine and offers an SDK that makes it easy for developers to seamlessly onboard their games and customise their rewards.

Developers can also purchase services with cryptocurrency directly through the Qudo marketplace, such as 3D artwork, modelling, animation, sound engineering, voiceovers and programming. Qudo’s rewards mechanism will also allow game developers to monetise without intrusive ads, and to improve their games by offering rewards for spotting bugs, which provides valuable real-time feedback.

Although QUDO has only been running on Telos testnet, and therefore rewards-earned are worthless, they can already boast a community of more than 1,000 players. Moving- forward, players will benefit from everything taking place on-chain and never having to transact with PayPal or credit cards, thus avoiding high fees and fraudulent activities.

Following the beta launch on Telos mainnet, the next step will be for the QUDO token to go live. The QUDO team are aiming to launch it by the end of Q2 2021.
